SAP FICO Analyst (FICA & SD)
About the role
Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities sector, is looking for an experienced SAP FICO Analyst to join a freelance transformation project in Ghent, Belgium.
The role will focus on supporting critical billing and invoicing processes during the transition from an existing SAP environment to SAP S/4HANA. You will work across FICA and SD, helping to maintain continuity across end-to-end billing processes while supporting testing, troubleshooting and the resolution of issues throughout the transition.
The successful candidate will bring strong SAP FICO experience, a solid understanding of FICA and SD, and the ability to read and interpret ABAP code when investigating technical issues.
This is a hybrid freelance opportunity, with a minimum of one day per week required on site in Ghent.
Main responsibilities
- Support SAP FICO processes with a particular focus on billing and invoicing.
- Work across FICA and SD to support end-to-end billing and invoicing flows.
- Support billing processes throughout the transition from the existing SAP environment to SAP S/4HANA.
- Support testing activities and analyse billing-related issues.
- Read and interpret ABAP code to support analysis and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to investigate and resolve issues.
- Help maintain continuity across critical billing processes during the SAP transformation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an SAP FICO Analyst.
- Strong experience with FICA and SD.
- Experience with Peppol.
- Experience reading and interpreting ABAP code.
- Experience working within a comparable sector, ideally utilities.
- Strong understanding of SAP billing and invoicing processes.
- Ability to work effectively across functional and technical teams.
- Fluent Dutch communication skills.
