- Support households in identifying suitable private rented sector accommodation.
- Complete affordability checks and income/expenditure assessments.
- Assist with property searches and attend viewings where necessary.
- Provide practical support to ensure a smooth transition into settled accommodation.
Recording & Administration
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with service procedures and data protection requirements.
- Ensure all interactions, actions, and decisions are clearly logged.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage empathetically with customers facing challenging circumstances.
- Experience managing a varied caseload in a housing, homelessness, or support setting.
- Good understanding of homelessness legislation, temporary accommodation, and the private rented sector.
- Ability to problem-solve, overcome barriers, and support customers toward positive housing outcomes.
- Confident using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills when working with landlords and partner agencies.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
