🔧 R&D Engineer – Electromechanical Engineering
📍 Ghent, Belgium
For my client, a technology-driven organization based in Ghent, I am looking for an R&D Engineer with an electromechanical engineering background to strengthen their growing R&D team. This role offers the opportunity to work on the development of innovative products, from early concept through to testing and industrialization.
The position is open to all experience levels, from enthusiastic starters to experienced R&D engineers who enjoy hands-on development and technical problem-solving.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of electromechanical systems and products
- Translate requirements and concepts into mechanical designs, calculations, and CAD models
- Build, test, and evaluate prototypes, and iterate designs based on test results
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in R&D, electronics, manufacturing, and quality
- Support validation, documentation, and transfer of designs to production
- Actively contribute ideas to improve existing products and develop new solutions
Your profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in or experience with mechanical design and product development
- Experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar) is a strong asset
- Analytical mindset with a practical, hands-on approach
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
- Junior, medior, and senior profiles are all welcome
