Working Pattern: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday, standard site hours)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Quality Manager to oversee all QA/QC activities on a data centre substation project in Wallonia.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing the project Quality Management System, ensuring all electrical and associated construction works meet contractual, regulatory, and client-specific requirements. This role requires a strong background in high-voltage substations, combined with experience in mission-critical or data centre environments.


Key Responsibilities

Join the project team as Quality Manager, leading all quality-related activities across the substation scope.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures
  • Oversee quality across HV/MV electrical systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and associated infrastructure
  • Manage all on-site quality control activities, including inspections, audits, surveillance, and verification of subcontractor works
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, IEC, EN), local Belgian regulations, and client specifications
  • Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, material submittals, and vendor data
  • Manage non-conformances (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and root cause analysis
  • Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and client teams to ensure alignment during installation, testing, and energisation phases
  • Lead and manage a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors, ensuring consistent application of quality processes
  • Monitor and report on quality KPIs, risks, and progress to project leadership
  • Oversee preparation and validation of handover documentation and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs)
  • Support commissioning activities, including walkdowns, punch lists, and energisation readiness reviews
  • Ensure health & safety compliance within all quality-related activities

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager on data centre, substation, or other mission-critical infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of high-voltage systems (typically 110kV–400kV substations)
  • Experience working within EPC/EPCM environments with multiple subcontractors
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and international QA/QC standards (IEC, EN)
  • Experience with digital QA/QC tools (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, or similar)
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven approach
  • Relevant engineering or construction qualification; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
