Job Description – Quality Engineer
About the Role
For a well-established international manufacturing company with a strong presence in Belgium, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to strengthen the Quality team. The organization operates in a high-tech industrial environment where innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence are key drivers.
In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding product quality across the full production lifecycle. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that products meet stringent quality, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Your Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for both preventive and corrective quality activities, including:
Evaluating the quality of new and modified products and coordinating validation activities with production, R&D, supply chain, and customers
Developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems, standards, and tools
Proactively identifying quality risks through data analysis across the entire value chain, from incoming materials to customer delivery
Ensuring accurate and structured quality data management in systems such as PLM, ERP, and quality databases
Conducting and supporting audits with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
Supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Contributing to process optimization and efficiency improvements within the quality domain
You will report directly to the Quality Operations Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate:
Holds a Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field, or has equivalent experience
Has solid knowledge of quality methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, and SPC
Is familiar with IATF 16949 or similar quality standards in an industrial or automotive environment
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can translate data into actionable insights
Has a continuous improvement mindset and proactively seeks optimization opportunities
