Quality Engineer
Project: Magnus Power Station
Location: Eemshaven, Netherlands
Start Date: 1st May 2026
End Date: 12th July 2026
Contract Type: Freelance / Self-Employed
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support works in Eemshaven. This is a site-based role requiring full-time presence on-site for the duration of the project.
The successful candidate will provide quality assurance oversight with a strong focus on welding and pressure systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) processes on-site
Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and welding records
Conduct quality inspections with a focus on welding and pressure systems
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements
Support audits, NCR management, and corrective action processes
Liaise with contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Maintain accurate QA records and reporting
Provide quality oversight during installation and commissioning phases
Required Experience & Skills
Fluent Dutch speaker and writer (essential)
Strong QA-focused background
Proven experience with welding and pressure systems
Ability to work full-time on-site in Eemshaven
EU passport holder or Dutch resident
Desirable (Not Essential)
Experience with C&I (Control & Instrumentation) systems
Experience working with DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
Previous power generation or industrial energy project experience

Confident working independently on-site
Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Proactive approach to quality management and issue resolution
