Job Title: QHSE Manager
Location: Belgium (Walloon Region)
Reports to:Â Operations Director
Salary: Up To €75,000
About the Role
As the QHSE Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) across the organization. You will combine hands-on quality control expertise with strategic management oversight, helping drive continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and a strong culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
Analyze results of controls and quality problems methodically, working with colleagues to identify improvement actions and follow up on their implementation.
Update and maintain the HACCP risk analysis.
Ensure monitoring of regulations and standards, adapting the quality system to changes in legislation and certification requirements.
Draft and implement quality procedures and control tools.
Monitor the quality management system through audits, indicators, quality meetings, and follow-up of improvement measures.
Manage internal and external audits, implement corrective actions, and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain full responsibility for the quality management system.
Safety & Environmental Management
Support projects related to safety culture change and implement continuous improvements.
Act as backup for the HSE Manager with a view to taking increasing responsibility in the role.
Assist in implementing ISO 14001, integrating it with existing quality systems and processes.
Promote a proactive safety and environmental mindset across the organization.
Management & Strategic Responsibilities
Advise management on quality, safety, and environmental strategies.
Communicate and promote the QHSE policy across departments, supporting management in its implementation.
Contribute to the development of a strong QHSE culture within the organization.
Design and implement tools, methods, and procedures to achieve QHSE objectives and monitor key indicators.
Lead the management of QHSE indicators, monitoring KPIs and reporting weekly progress.
Oversee the QHSE action plan, track results, analyze trends, and propose improvement actions.
Prepare management review reports and documentation.
Lead continuous improvement projects, including defining needs, evaluating safety and profitability, commissioning, and training.
Maintain ISO, BRC, and IFS certification documentation, aligning processes with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Quality, HSE, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in QHSE management within [insert relevant industry, e.g., manufacturing, food, pharma].
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC, IFS, HACCP, and other relevant standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
