About the Role:
You will join a leading international industrial services provider supporting a major oil refinery site in Antwerp, one of the most advanced and energy-efficient facilities in the region. As a Field QC Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards for weld inspections within this complex and dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform visual inspections of welds across the refinery site to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and specifications.
Plan and coordinate NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities, liaising with specialised NDT contractors to schedule inspections effectively.
Guide and support operators by clearly demonstrating inspection requirements and best practices during the work process.
Inspect welding on 316 stainless steel and carbon steel materials, covering various welding processes used onsite.
Ensure all visual examinations are thoroughly documented and reported accurately to the onboard QC Supervisor.
Cover all visual inspection activities across the refinery site, maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Maintain communication and collaboration with the QC team, site operators, and external NDT providers to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Control within the oil and gas sector, preferably with refinery or industrial plant experience.
Strong knowledge of welding processes and inspection techniques for 316 stainless steel and carbon steel materials.
Experience in visual weld inspection and familiarity with NDT planning procedures (execution done by third-party).
Ability to work on site with good communication skills and report writing abilities.
Fluent in English is required; Dutch language skills are considered a strong advantage.
Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and demonstrate professionalism in a complex industrial environment.
