Job Title: QA/QC Supervisor

Role Overview
- Act as the primary QA/QC Supervisor on a major petrochemical construction and maintenance site in Antwerp.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable quality standards, project specifications, client requirements, and industry codes.
- Take responsibility for improving and maintaining a strong quality culture across all site activities and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, follow, update, and develop QA/QC plans to manage and close out unfinished work left by previous subcontractors.
- Identify outstanding quality risks related to incomplete works and implement corrective actions and controlled systems of work.
- Oversee and manage a team of QA/QC Inspectors, ensuring consistent application of quality procedures across the site.
- Conduct regular site inspections, surveillance audits, and quality checks to identify defects, deviations, and non-compliance.
- Lead non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate closely with construction managers, subcontractors, and client representatives on all quality-related matters.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and record-keeping in line with project, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality records including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection reports, NCR registers, and final quality dossiers.
- Provide quality briefings and guidance to site personnel where required.
Requirements
- Must hold a relevant QA/QC qualification (e.g., CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, IWE/IWT, or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Supervisor or Senior QA/QC Inspector on petrochemical or heavy industrial sites.
- Strong knowledge of applicable quality standards such as ISO 9001, EN/ASME codes, welding, NDT, and coating requirements (as relevant).
- Experience managing and coordinating QA/QC teams and site inspectors.
- Ability to develop, review, and implement QA/QC plans, procedures, and ITPs. Strong problem-solving skills and experience dealing with legacy or unfinished subcontractor works.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written).
