Job Purpose
The QA Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food products meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The role involves monitoring production processes, conducting audits, supporting certification programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in food safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Monitoring
Conduct regular checks and inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Monitor production lines to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and specifications.
Record and report quality data accurately in the company’s QA systems.
Food Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, and applicable EU food safety regulations.
Support internal and external audits (BRC, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, customer audits).
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformities.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate QA records, including inspection reports, deviation logs, and corrective action reports.
Prepare reports for QA Manager, Production, and Regulatory teams as required.
Supplier & Raw Material Quality Management
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and raw material quality.
Participate in supplier audits as required.
Continuous Improvement & Training
Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and safety.
Support training of production staff on hygiene, quality, and food safety procedures.
Customer & Regulatory Support
Respond to quality complaints and coordinate investigations with cross-functional teams.
Ensure all QA practices align with local legislation and EU regulations.
