A Local Authority in the North West of England is looking for a fully qualified solicitor to come in and assist with their criminal litigation work. They have a wide mix of different matters that they need help with. This may extend to civil litigation depending on other people’s availability.
The RoleÂ
- Variety of prosecutions work – Trading Standards, Building Regs, Breaches, Environmental, Non-School Attendance etc.
- Licensing work – Taxi, Liqueur etc. – committee attendance once every 2/3 months
- Remote working, occasional court attendance needed, office attendance would be ideal
- Potential to pick up bits of civil litigation as well
- Initial 3 – 6 month contract – high likelihood of extensionÂ
About You
- Experience working for a Local Authority is ideal, but not requiredÂ
- Experience with criminal litigationÂ
- Fully qualified Solicitor, or Barrister / CILEx with litigation rightsÂ
- Strong case management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently in a locum capacity
- Confident communication and stakeholder management abilities
