Project Planner

Job Title: Freelance Project Planner (Primavera P6)
Location: Gent, Belgium
Project: Implement Primavera P6 across the company and schedule/plan projects relating to producing backup generators and engines for nuclear power plants across Europe.
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Freelance (12 months+)
Remote Work: 3 days per week onsite, 2 days remote work per week.
 

About the Client:
Our client is a leading industrial manufacturing company who build engines and backup power generators to be used in nuclear power plants, the generators are between 360kW and 10MW.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner with expertise in Primavera P6 and knowledge of industrial manufacturing procedures to come in, set up Primavera P6, upload all the information to it for current/ongoing projects (currently the project managers use their own in MS project) before planning 3x major projects and upskilling a junior member of staff in Primavera P6.

 
Key Responsibilities:

• Come into the company as a Primavera P6 expert, set up Primavera P6 in the company and all of the information, setting up procedures to follow etc..
• Currently the project managers produce their own scheduling/planning for projects in MS Projects.
• Set up all the planning/scheduling for 3x projects which are specifically for making/producing diesel engines and backup power generators for nuclear power plants.
• These industrial engines/power generators are between 360kW and 10MW and should be produced in line with Nuclear Power Plant specifications.
• The backup generators are very important as if the power goes off or any potential nuclear risks appear the generator is used to ensure a safe cooling down and shutoff of the nuclear reactors and keep all essential systems operational in the event of an outage.
• Understand the industrial manufacturing process and work with the project managers in order to create a full-proof plan/schedule for each project, following up and amending accordingly when needed.
• Upskill a junior member of staff in Primavera P6 and scheduling.

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a planner/scheduler.
• Experience with Primavera P6.
• Knowledge of Industrial Manufacturing Procedures is a bonus.
• English and French speaking.
