About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Mechanical/Piping Engineer to join our client’s team in Zuid-Holland. You will play a key role in delivering multiple projects from concept to completion, contributing to cutting-edge innovations in the biotechnology sector with a strong focus on sustainable processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical and piping engineering efforts across several projects simultaneously
Develop and review mechanical and piping designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, project managers, and suppliers
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively
Identify and mitigate risks related to mechanical and piping systems
Support procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up activities as required
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical and Piping Engineer in process industries, preferably biotechnology or related fields – 5-10years minimum
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, piping systems, materials, and relevant codes and standards
Experience managing complex engineering projects from start to finish
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
Dutch language skills are required
