About the Client:
Our client is a leading international industrial manufacturer operating within the food/feed value chain. The company runs large-scale production facilities supplying specialized nutritional products to global markets. The Cairo-region site is a strategic production hub and is currently undergoing multiple CAPEX-driven upgrades and expansions.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Engineering) to manage and deliver a portfolio of mid-sized industrial investment projects with individual budgets ranging from €1–3 million. The role is site-based and focused on improving production efficiency, increasing throughput, expanding product range, and upgrading safety standards across several production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation and debottlenecking of an existing production line to increase tons per hour and recover lost sales caused by underutilized installed capacity (approx. €1M CAPEX).
- Expansion with an additional production line to enable production of a broader range of product types
- Supporting initiatives related to throughput improvement, troop/shift increase readiness, process reliability, and enhanced safety standards.
- Lead engineering and project execution activities for production line automation, upgrades, and new line installations.
- Ensure projects are designed and executed in line with industrial standards, local regulations, and corporate engineering guidelines.
- Provide clear and regular reporting on project status, risks, costs, and milestones to site and regional management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Strong experience in engineering project management within industrial CAPEX environments.
- Industry background in FMCG, food, feed, process manufacturing, or chemical industries.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, collaborative approach to working within construction teams (CM/SQM).
- Experience with MS Office/Projects, and AutoCAD
- Languages: Arabic & English strong communication skills (written and spoken)
Contract Details
Location: On-site full-time in the Cairo region, Egypt.
Duration: 12 months + extension based on additional approved projects.
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
