About the Client:
Our client is a global industrial engineering and manufacturing organisation with an established presence across the Netherlands. The business currently operates six production facilities, with three additional factories under construction, creating a strong pipeline of factory expansion, civil, and brownfield projects. The organisation places high value on safe delivery within live operational environments and on experienced project professionals who can manage complexity across multiple sites.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Engineer to support factory expansion–related projects across several industrial sites in the western Netherlands region. The role involves overseeing multiple projects in parallel, coordinating site activities, and ensuring delivery while operations continue.
The client is open to a phased onboarding approach, allowing the successful candidate to begin on a limited basis (e.g. one day per week) to become familiar with internal systems, safety standards, and ways of working, before transitioning to a full-time engagement from April/May.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee factory expansion, civil, and brownfield projects across multiple active production sites
Coordinate engineering, construction, and contractor activities in live factory environments
Act as primary point of contact for assigned projects and site stakeholders
Ensure delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, and HSE requirements
Support planning, execution, and reporting across parallel project workstreams
Manage interfaces between ongoing operations and construction activities
Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks and changes
Ensure compliance with internal engineering standards, procedures, and governance
Support early-stage project familiarisation ahead of full mobilisation
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer in industrial or manufacturing environments
Demonstrable experience delivering factory expansion, civil, or brownfield projects
Experience working on live operational sites
Ability to manage multiple sites or concurrent projects
Strong contractor coordination and stakeholder management skills
Fluent English (mandatory); Dutch is highly desirable
Willingness to work across the western Netherlands region with site presence as required
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong organisational skills
