About the Client:
Our client is a well-established public-sector construction company specialising in roofing and building envelope works for complex public infrastructure projects, including schools, churches, airports, and government buildings across Belgium.
Role Overview:
We are seeking two experienced Project Managers to manage and deliver multiple public-sector construction projects across Belgium. You will be responsible for the technical, financial, and planning coordination of projects from preparation through execution and handover.
The role is predominantly site-based, requiring frequent presence on active construction sites, combined with office-based coordination and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end construction projects within the public sector
- Coordinate roofing and building envelope works across multiple active sites
- Plan, monitor, and control project schedules, budgets, and execution
- Act as the main technical interface with clients, public authorities, architects, and engineers
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors during site execution
- Review and validate technical drawings, specifications, and execution methods
- Ensure compliance with Belgian construction regulations and public procurement rules
- Manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims
- Monitor site safety, quality, and construction sequencing
- Coordinate commissioning, handover, and as-built documentation
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- 7+ experience as a Project Manager in construction or industrial projects
- Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences or equivalent technical education
- Proven experience within public-sector or regulated construction environments
- Strong technical knowledge of construction works, roofing systems, and building envelopes
- Experience managing multiple projects and sites simultaneously
- Solid understanding of planning, cost control, and contract management
- Willingness to travel frequently to construction sites across Belgium
