Role Overview
Act as the primary Project Manager responsible for the installation and delivery of cleanroom environments across multiple pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and high-tech manufacturing projects in the Antwerp and wider Belgium region.
Ensure that all cleanroom installation activities — including architectural cleanroom systems, HVAC integration, filtration systems, and controlled environments — are delivered in full compliance with project specifications, GMP requirements, EU regulations, and client standards.
Take overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, executing, and closing out cleanroom installation works across multiple projects while ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full lifecycle of cleanroom installation projects across multiple sites, from initial planning through installation, commissioning, validation support, and final handover.
Develop and implement project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans to ensure efficient and compliant delivery of cleanroom environments.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, installation teams, suppliers, and specialist cleanroom contractors to ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to specification.
Oversee the installation of cleanroom architectural systems, including modular wall systems, ceilings, doors, pass-throughs, flooring, and cleanroom furniture.
Coordinate with engineering teams on the integration of HVAC systems, HEPA filtration, airflow control, pressure cascades, and environmental monitoring systems required for controlled environments.
Ensure compliance with GMP standards, cleanroom classifications (ISO standards), pharmaceutical validation requirements, and relevant Belgian and European regulations.
Monitor project progress across multiple installations, manage budgets, procurement activities, and cost control, and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients.
Lead technical coordination meetings with clients, design consultants, engineering teams, and site management to ensure alignment on installation requirements and project milestones.
Identify project risks and proactively manage technical, logistical, and scheduling challenges across multiple sites.
Oversee and support testing, commissioning, and validation activities including airflow testing, environmental monitoring setup, and documentation for qualification processes.
Ensure all technical documentation, drawings, change orders, and installation records are properly controlled and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering cleanroom installation or controlled environment projects within pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing sectors.
Strong technical understanding of cleanroom construction systems, controlled environments, and integration with HVAC and filtration systems.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including coordination of subcontractors and multidisciplinary installation teams.
Solid understanding of GMP environments, ISO cleanroom classifications, and pharmaceutical project standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, project schedules, procurement, and client relationships within technically demanding projects.
Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, and validation processes in regulated environments is highly advantageous.
Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex installation projects across multiple sites.
