Job Description – Project Controller (9‑Month Contract)
Location: Bruges (3 days on‑site, 2 days hybrid)

Overview
We are looking for an autonomous, hands‑on Project Controller to support the final nine months of a project for one of our clients in Bruges. Based on‑site in Bruges several days per week, you will work closely with operational and project teams to ensure strong financial control during the final delivery phase.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable stepping directly into the operational environment to challenge and support stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Controlling & Financial Management
- Manage financial performance of the project including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly project reporting packages and performance reviews.
- Monitor project budgets, actuals, and cash flow implications.
- Identify cost deviations early and work with teams on corrective actions.
Operational & On‑Site Support
- Engage daily with project management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Provide financial insights to support decision‑making on the shop floor and in project meetings.
- Drive financial discipline and improve data quality within operational processes.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of controlling activities.
Systems & Tools
- Use SAP FI/CO confidently to extract, validate, and reconcile project financial data.
Profile Requirements
Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in project controlling, ideally within industrial, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
- Solid understanding of financial controlling, forecasting, and balance sheet management.
- Working knowledge of SAP FI/CO is required, with the ability to navigate and extract key controlling data.
- Autonomous, proactive, curious, and not afraid of hands‑on engagement with operational teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
