Principal Planning Policy Officer

Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a Scottish local authority who are looking to appoint an interim Planning Policy Officer to support their Local Development Plan (LDP) work programme. The role will focus on progressing plan preparation, supporting evidence base work, responding to consultation representations, and assisting with key stages of the LDP process.

The successful candidate will have prior experience working on Local Development Plans within a Scottish or English local authority setting, a strong understanding of the planning policy framework and plan-making process, and confidence supporting plan preparation and consultation stages. Experience liaising with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on policy matters will be beneficial.

Applicants should be able to work independently in a fully remote environment and add capacity to a busy policy team at a critical stage of plan production.
