A well-established planning consultancy based in Sheffield is seeking a Principal Planner to join their busy and rapidly growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic firm boasting a strong and diverse pipeline of projects across multiple sectors. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing their own projects, building strong relationships with clients, and contributing to business development activities where possible.
We are looking for someone with 5 to 6 years’ planning experience, though Senior Planners with 4+ years’ experience will also be considered. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, self-motivated, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
While MRTPI membership is preferred, it is not essential. We are open to candidates from public sector or client-side backgrounds, provided they demonstrate a strong commercial mindset and the ability to adapt to consultancy environments.
Nice to have: The ability to bring existing clients or generate new work would be a distinct advantage and is encouraged.
