– A leading Local Authority based in Essex who are after a Principal RBI to help oversee the team
Role Overview
– An RBI position covering the Council’s area on an initial 3 month contract basis with a high view to extend
– Offering site inspection and plan checks
– Full time (37 hours a week)
– Up to £55 per hour (£5152 take home per month after all tax and deductions)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out site inspections and plan checking (min 2 days on site per week)
- Attend to dangerous structures
- Carry out enforcement of The Building Regulations and Building Act as necessary
- Supervise senior, junior surveyors and admin staff
- Deputise for the Building Control Manager when required
- Assist the Building Control Manager in the implementation of the BSR operational Standards
- Assist the Building Control Manager in procedural changes to the service

- Professional qualifications by one the chartered institutes with a specialism in Building Control
- Minimum Class 2F Registration and Chartered with CIOB/ RICS/ CABE
