Primary Electrical Design Engineer (Substations & Energy Infrastructure)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Primary Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects focused on connecting battery energy storage systems (BESS) to hydrogen production plants. The successful candidate will bring extensive substation design experience and strong technical expertise in ACS electrical works.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the primary electrical design of substation and electrical infrastructure projects.
- Produce and review design documentation, calculations, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Support the integration of battery storage systems with hydrogen plants.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in primary electrical design.
- Strong electrical engineering background.
- Proven experience designing substations and working on ACS electrical projects.
- Experience within battery energy storage (BESS), renewable energy, or hydrogen-related projects.
- Fluent German language skills, with a minimum C1 level proficiency.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and grid connection requirements.
