Our client is a rail-focused organisation based in Brussels, delivering advanced digital rail solutions across on-board and wayside systems. They are involved in long-term projects with a strong focus on innovation, interoperability, and modern rail technologies.
Role Overview:
The Pre-Sales Technical Manager will play a key role in supporting the sales team throughout the full sales cycle by providing in-depth technical expertise. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, demonstrate solutions, and translate business needs into optimized technical proposals that drive successful sales outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the sales team with technical expertise throughout the sales cycle
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Demonstrate solutions and explain interfaces and interoperability between on-board and wayside systems
• Clearly articulate the technical value proposition across various application scenarios and use cases
• Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations to customers
• Act as a technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal teams
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar pre-sales or technical sales function
• Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role within the rail sector
• Strong understanding of digital rail technologies (hardware and software), including:
– Signalling systems
– Train control and management systems
– Data analytics
• Excellent technical communication and presentation skills
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Fluent in English
Contract Details:
Location: Brussels / Hybrid (2–3 days remote per week)
Duration: 12 months+
Rate: Competitive / TBC
