Embedded Software Engineer (Medior–Senior)
Overview
For one of our customers, we are looking for a Medior to Senior Embedded Software Engineer to work on the firmware layer of telecommunication networks. The role focuses on delivering new firmware features within an active development roadmap, with key milestones planned before the end of the year.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain embedded firmware for telecommunication network systems
Implement new features and improvements at the firmware layer
Work closely with hardware and systems teams to ensure reliable integration
Debug, test, and optimize embedded software on Linux-based systems
Contribute to design discussions and technical decision-making
Required Qualifications
4–7+ years of experience in embedded systems and hardware-related software development
5+ years of professional experience with C++ (strong C knowledge is a plus)
Solid experience working in Linux-based environments
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in low-level systems
Nice to Have
Experience or strong affinity with IP networks and/or telecommunication systems
Background in firmware development for networking or telecom hardware
Logistics
Location: Antwerp (3 days onsite per week)
Start Date: Immediate – February
Contract Length: 6–12 months
