Planning Policy Officer – Interim Role – Southeast
Contract length: 6 months
Start date: 3–4 weeks
Rate: £42+ per hour
Office presence: Mostly remote with occasional in-person meetings
Vivid Resourcing are currently working with a council in Eastbourne who are looking to add an interim Planning Policy Officer to support ongoing Local Plan work on a 6-month contract. The role will involve drafting planning policy text, preparing and reviewing evidence, supporting consultation activity, and analysing representations. The successful candidate will also assist with research into housing, employment, sustainability and climate-related topics. Candidates must have previous UK local authority policy experience, a clear understanding of Local Plan processes, strong analytical and written skills, and the ability to produce clear, robust policy content.
