Town Planner / Senior Town Planner
Private Sector Planning Consultancy – Dublin
We are a well-established and growing planning consultancy based in Dublin, working across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, mixed-use, and strategic development projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of planning projects from inception through to decision stage, providing planning advice to private sector clients and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
Preparation and management of planning applications, appeals, and pre-application consultations
Strategic planning advice for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
Client liaison and project management
Engagement with local authorities, An Bord Pleanála, and other stakeholders
Contribution to planning statements, EIARs, and supporting documentation
Mentoring junior staff (Senior Planner level)
About You
We are open to candidates at Planner or Senior Planner level.
You will ideally have:
A recognised degree in Town/Spatial Planning (or related discipline)
Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the IPI / RTPI
Experience working in a private sector consultancy or local authority
Strong knowledge of the Irish planning system and current planning policy
Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills
A proactive and professional approach to client-facing work
