Job Title: Town Planner

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and commercially aware Town Planner to join our Ruislip office. Reporting to the Senior/Planning Manager, you will play a vital role in securing planning permissions and supporting the delivery of high-quality residential schemes across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support planning applications from initial appraisal through to determination.

  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries.

  • Liaise with local authorities, consultants, landowners, and key stakeholders.

  • Coordinate and review technical reports (e.g., transport, ecology, heritage, viability).

  • Monitor local planning policy and emerging development frameworks.

  • Support land acquisition by providing planning appraisals and strategic advice.

  • Attend committee meetings and public consultations as required.

  • Assist in managing planning conditions and Section 106 agreements.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or related discipline.

  • MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.

  • Previous experience in a planning role (housebuilding or consultancy preferred).

  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system, particularly within London/Greater London.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Commercially aware with strong organisational abilities.

  • Full UK driving licence (desirable).
