Job Title: Piping Project Engineer
Location: Beerse, Belgium
Normal Working Schedule: 40 hours per week
Project: Multiple Piping Projects.
Start Date: September 2026
Contract Type: Freelance Contract, 6 months+

About the Client:
Our client is a large multinational main engineering contractor (EPC).

Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Piping Project Engineer with excellent knowledge of Pipes, components and materials. The ideal candidate should have expertise in a pharmaceutical environment to join the team working on multiple piping projects for a huge multinational pharmaceutical client.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • You will act as the Project Engineer on the Johnson & Johnson Beerse site for numerous piping projects at the facility. 
  • First you’ll look at the agenda with the project manager, making a project plan on MS Project (which technical data sheets for that week, when do we need approvals for this week etc..)
  • Then you will make the technical data sheets, outlining the exact components and materials needed including valves, pumps, heat exchangers, PSV, PCV, Temperature indicators etc.. The pipes are clean pipes, stainless steel, carbon fibre and schedule pipes (mainly clean pipes).
  • You will then submit these to the client who will review it and approve if they’re happy, you will then help to make the orders by ensuring it’s the exact right material/component needed so there are no issues during installations. 
  • There will be some 3D designs already made, you will turn these 3D designs into isometrics on AutoCAD PLant3D. 
  • Once the isometrics are made, submit to the client for approval who will confirm it’s in-line (correct length, height etc..) 
  • This is when the installation happens, you will perform quality checks of the work to ensure it’s in line with drawings. 
  • Once it’s built and the welding complete, you’ll create welding documentation in Weldtrace (you will be trained on this) to highlight which material certificate is used, which valve is involved, was a pressure test performed etc.. to complete the quality documentation. 
  • Should anything go wrong in the above, you will also be the individual discussing with the client to find solutions together.
 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as a Piping Engineer with excellent knowledge of pipes, components and materials.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant3D.
  • English speaking.

Location: Beerse, Belgium
Normal working schedule: 40 hours per week.
Duration: 6 months
Rate type: All-inclusive Hourly Rate.
