Location: Dallas (Hybrid preferred | Remote within US considered)

Contract Length: 12 months

Rate: $120–$135/hour (target $125/hour, C2C or W2)

Start: ASAP

Client: Large U.S. Telecommunications Provider (Carrier / ISP / Infrastructure)

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a Palantir Data Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Architect to lead the design, implementation, and enablement of Palantir platforms within a large-scale telecommunications environment.

This is a hands-on delivery and architecture role, focused on implementing Palantir Foundry and/or Gotham to support complex data integration, analytics, and operational intelligence use cases across network operations, customer analytics, infrastructure planning, and enterprise reporting.

The ideal consultant has deep Palantir platform experience, strong data engineering and modeling skills, and prior exposure to large, complex, data-intensive enterprises such as telecom, utilities, or infrastructure-heavy organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Palantir Architecture & Implementation

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of Palantir Foundry and/or Gotham
  • Design scalable data architectures, ontologies, and pipelines aligned with telecom business domains
  • Define data onboarding strategies for structured and unstructured data sources
  • Configure and optimize Foundry workflows, transforms, and analytical applications

Data Engineering & Modeling

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines for ingesting data from:
  • Network and OSS/BSS platforms
  • Telemetry, event, and time-series data sources
  • Customer, billing, and operational datasets
  • Design and implement Palantir ontologies that accurately reflect telecom entities and relationships
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, governance, and performance at scale

Analytics, Use Cases & Enablement

  • Develop analytical use cases supporting:
  • Network operations and outage management
  • Capacity planning and infrastructure optimization
  • Customer experience and churn analytics
  • Operational and executive reporting
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into Palantir-native solutions
  • Build dashboards, applications, and workflows to support operational decision-making

Platform, Security & Governance

  • Ensure Palantir implementations align with enterprise security, privacy, and compliance standards
  • Support access controls, data segmentation, and auditability
  • Collaborate with security and risk teams to ensure compliant data usage
  • Produce architecture documentation, runbooks, and best-practice guidelines

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted Palantir SME for engineering, analytics, and business teams
  • Support knowledge transfer and upskilling of internal data teams
  • Collaborate with Palantir representatives and system integrators as needed
Required Skills & Experience

Palantir & Data Platforms

  • Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Gotham
  • Proven experience designing ontologies, pipelines, and analytical applications in Palantir
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, transformation, and orchestration

Data Engineering & Analytics

  • Experience with SQL, Python, and data transformation frameworks
  • Familiarity with big data and analytics concepts (ETL/ELT, batch and streaming)
  • Experience integrating Palantir with enterprise data sources and APIs

Telecom / Large Enterprise Experience

  • Prior experience working within telecommunications, ISP, utilities, or infrastructure-heavy environments
  • Understanding of telecom data domains (network, OSS/BSS, operations, customer data) is highly preferred
  • Comfortable operating within large-scale, complex data ecosystems

Professional Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and architecture skills
  • Ability to work independently in a senior consulting capacity
  • Clear communicator with strong documentation habits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience delivering Palantir solutions for telecom or large infrastructure clients
  • Experience working alongside Palantir or Palantir-certified partners
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) supporting large-scale data platforms
