Palantir Data Engineering Team (2 Roles)
Client: Enterprise Financial Services / Insurance Organization
Location: Austin, TX – Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)
Compensation:
L2 Data Engineer: From $170,000 base
Lead / Architect (L3–L4): $200,000+ depending on experience
A rapidly growing enterprise data team is expanding its Palantir platform capability and is hiring two key hires to support the next phase of its data platform evolution.
The organization has already completed large-scale integrations of enterprise systems into Palantir Foundry, including Workday, Epic, and multiple internal financial platforms. The next phase of the program focuses on building scalable ontology objects, improving data governance, and enabling secure enterprise data access.
We are hiring both:
L2 Palantir Data Engineer
L3/L4 Lead Data Architect
Both roles will be based in Austin (4 days per week onsite) and will play a key role in shaping the next generation of enterprise data products.
Role 1: L2 Palantir Data Engineer
Responsibilities
Build and maintain Palantir Foundry data pipelines and transformations
Support ingestion and integration of enterprise systems (Workday, Epic, finance systems)
Assist with ontology and object development within Foundry
Improve data quality, lineage, and governance processes
Collaborate with data architects and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data assets
Support data product development across finance and operational analytics
Contribute to data modeling and performance optimization
Requirements
2–4 years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry (preferred)
Strong SQL and data transformation experience
Familiarity with enterprise data integration patterns
Understanding of data quality frameworks
Experience working with finance or insurance datasets preferred
Role 2: L3/L4 Lead Data Architect (Palantir)
Responsibilities
Lead architecture and development of Palantir Foundry ontologies and enterprise data objects
Design scalable data architecture across multiple enterprise platforms
Oversee integration of large operational datasets from platforms including Workday, Epic, and financial systems
Establish data governance, security, and access frameworks
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR and related frameworks)
Define enterprise data models aligned to finance and operational workflows
Provide technical leadership to data engineering teams
Partner with leadership to define long-term data platform strategy
Requirements
Strong experience with Palantir Foundry architecture
Experience designing ontology-driven data platforms
Deep knowledge of enterprise data architecture
Strong background in data security, governance, and compliance frameworks
Experience with GDPR and enterprise data protection standards
Background in financial services, insurance, or regulated industries
Experience leading data engineering teams and large platform implementations
