Job Description – NIS2 Officer (Part-time)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced NIS2 Officer to support the implementation and documentation of the NIS2 cybersecurity directive within a critical infrastructure environment in the healthcare sector.
The ideal candidate has previously implemented NIS2 frameworks, understands cybersecurity governance, and can translate technical cybersecurity concepts into clear documentation for non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
This role will focus on compliance, governance, documentation, and decision support for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the implementation of the NIS2 directive within the organization
Create and maintain documentation, policies, and compliance frameworks aligned with NIS2
Perform gap analysis and maturity assessments related to cybersecurity governance
Translate technical cybersecurity requirements into clear business documentation
Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Support leadership in cybersecurity governance and decision making
Contribute to improving cyber resilience and risk management processes
Profile
We are looking for someone who combines cybersecurity governance experience with strong communication skills.
Required Experience
Proven experience with NIS2 implementation
Background in cybersecurity governance, compliance or GRC
Experience creating security policies, standards and documentation
Ability to translate technical security topics into clear documentation
Experience working with senior stakeholders or boards
Preferred Experience
Experience in healthcare, hospitals or other critical infrastructure environments
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
Experience with risk management and cybersecurity maturity assessments
