Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Network Architect with 10+ years of experience in the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry. This individual will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and evolution of our core and access networks. You’ll balance day-to-day operational support with long-term strategic planning and network modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions.
Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for the core and aggregation network infrastructure.
Plan and execute network refreshes, upgrades, and expansions aligned with business growth.
Design future-state network topologies with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to define network strategy.
Evaluate and integrate new technologies while maintaining compatibility with legacy systems such as Adtran and Ciena.
Assist in the development of documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience in a senior network engineering or architecture role within an ISP environment.
Deep understanding of core and access networking, including routing, switching, and traffic engineering.
Experience with legacy and modern ISP infrastructure, including platforms like Adtran and Ciena.
Strong knowledge of network design principles for fiber-based networks serving residential and business customers.
Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, and network automation concepts.
Familiarity with network monitoring and performance management tools.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to lead incident response and resolution efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or working knowledge of DWDM technologies.
Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
Familiarity with SDN, IPv6, and next-gen network architecture strategies.
