The ideal consultant will be deeply experienced with Infoblox core services and able to provide both strategic guidance and operational execution. In addition, this role requires expertise supporting or leading SonicWall to Check Point firewall migrations, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.

This engagement may convert into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Infoblox / DDI Engineering

  • Architect, design, and standardize enterprise Infoblox environments

  • Optimize DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) architecture for scalability and resilience

  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting across DNS resolution, IP conflicts, replication, and grid issues

  • Configure and manage Infoblox Grid, HA pairs, reporting, and automation features

  • Develop configuration standards and governance documentation

  • Support upgrades, migrations, and integration with enterprise security platforms

  • Provide best-practice guidance around DDI security, compliance, and segmentation

Firewall Migration (SonicWall → Check Point)

  • Lead or support migration from SonicWall firewalls to Check Point platforms

  • Translate policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations

  • Perform rulebase cleanup, optimization, and standardization

  • Design secure migration strategies minimizing downtime

  • Validate security posture post-migration

  • Support Check Point policy installation, clustering, and high availability

Required Skills & Experience

Infoblox Expertise

  • 5+ years hands-on Infoblox experience in enterprise environments

  • Deep expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM architecture

  • Experience with Infoblox Grid Manager, HA configuration, and reporting

  • Strong troubleshooting skills at protocol level (DNS, TCP/IP, routing fundamentals)

  • Experience designing and documenting DDI standards

Firewall & Security

  • Proven experience migrating from SonicWall to Check Point

  • Strong understanding of:

    • NAT policies

    • VPN configurations (Site-to-Site & Remote Access)

    • Rulebase optimization

  • Experience with Check Point SmartConsole and policy management

Networking Fundamentals

  • Strong routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs)

  • Understanding of firewall integrations with DDI

  • Knowledge of security best practices and Zero Trust concepts

  • Check Point certification (CCSA / CCSE)

  • Experience with automation (Python, REST APIs, Ansible)

  • Experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Enterprise Retail)

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone comfortable working directly with infrastructure and security leadership

  • Strong documentation and standardization mindset

  • Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced enterprise environment
