Naval Architect – Yacht Design & Engineering
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Naval Architect to join and strengthen our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for calculations and drawings across all stages of yacht design. You will play a key role in coordinating and supporting various design and engineering disciplines within the office. Projects range from initial concept development to complete naval architectural packages and construction supervision for both large custom yachts and smaller production vessels.

This position offers the opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of yacht design. You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality design solutions that meet both technical and aesthetic standards.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has relevant qualifications and proven experience in yacht or shipbuilding. Proficiency with marine design software, CAD tools, and knowledge of class regulations is essential.
Responsibilities
-Develop general arrangement and layout plans.
-Produce construction and detailed design drawings.
-Perform technical calculations including weight estimation, stability, resistance, and propulsion.
-Define system and equipment specifications.
-Monitor and integrate new technologies and market developments into your work.
-Contribute to the ongoing improvement of internal standards and design methodologies.
-Foster open and constructive communication across the team.
Key Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or a related technical field.
-Deep understanding of quality standards in yacht design, including structural, technical, and aesthetic requirements.
-Creative and solution-oriented with the ability to optimize and innovate existing designs.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Versatile and capable of handling a variety of design and engineering tasks.
-Several years of relevant experience in shipbuilding, preferably within the yacht industry.
-Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling .
-Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a plus).
-Self-motivated, positive, and eager to continuously learn and contribute.
