Our client is focussed on providing services for major data center builds across Europe, working with the largest clients globally in order to deliver state-of-the-art data centers.
Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to read drawings, oversee the mechanical works onsite (20-30 people), and ensure the mechanical work is being done on schedule, in-line with drawings/specifications and to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the project building a Microsoft data center, working in a team of supervisors where you will be one of the Mechanical Site Supervisors overseeing the mechanical package of the project.
- The mechanical work begins in April, and you will oversee between 20-30 people onsite working on the mechanical package (about 150 people onsite in total).
- The tasks you will oversee the installation, pre-commissioning etc.. of all mechanical works.
- The mechanical work related to the HVAC systems, ductors, all mechanical equipment, fire fighting systems, water treatment, pumps, cooling systems etc..
- You will need to be able to read drawings, understand what needs to be done and oversee onsite to ensure everything in your area is being installed according to the drawings, in-line with client specifications, quality and safety standards.
- Handle issues onsite, and update/co-ordinate with all parties involved on the project.
- Use your experience overseeing mechanical works on data center projects and understanding of the process to ensure all is done. Adapting to any delays/issues together with the team to ensure the project is completed to standard and on-time.
- Participate in daily meetings, updating stakeholders accordingly and ensuring the site team are following and completing the daily tasks set out.
- Ensure documentation is in order together with the team.
- The working schedule is 6 days per week (Monday to Saturday) starting at 7AM and working 10 hours per day (8 hours on Saturday). There is also the option of an evening shift where you will be compensated accordingly should you wish to work that shift (17:00-Midnight). There are also flexible rotation options to suit you (for example 90 days on, 15 days off) and the client can provide a car, fuel card, highway pass and accommodation should you wish (rates will vary accordingly).
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on major data center projects.
- EU national (no Visa can be provided).
- English speaking.
