About the Client:
Our client is an international food production company operating large-scale manufacturing facilities in Europe. The site produces a wide range of products, and operates under strict quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a freelance Mechanical Project Manager to manage and add structure to the mechanical project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will lead a team of 5 mechanical engineers and 4 site supervisors
- You will lead the mechanical team in a diverse portfolio of expansion projects within the local engineering team
- You are able to bring structure and help the team prioritize activities
- You will lead the engineering team and coordinate activities among engineers, project management, and sales;
- You will monitor quality and safety standards and performance on the work floor
- You will manage budget and ensure deadline targets are met efficiently
- Background in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience leading teams
- Experience within the food industry is a strong bonus
- Languages: Dutch (English bonus)
Contract Details
Location: On-site East Flanders, Belgium
Duration: 6-12 months + possible extensions
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive freelance daily rate, depending on experience and qualifications
