We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Design and Project Engineer to lead the development of next-generation sporting goods from concept to market.
🔧 Your Role
As a key player in our Product Development team, you will:
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of new products and product improvements, with a focus on performance, user experience, and manufacturability.
- Translate user needs and marketing requirements into technical solutions and 3D models using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
- Manage product development projects, ensuring time lines, budgets, and technical objectives are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with industrial design, prototyping, manufacturing, sourcing, and testing teams.
- Validate designs through simulations, rapid prototyping, and lab/field testing.
- Oversee design for manufacturing (DFM) and interface with suppliers local and international.
- Drive continuous improvement in design processes, material selection, and sustainability.
- Provide technical mentor-ship to junior engineers.
✅ Your Profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and project management ideally in consumer products or sporting goods.
- Strong 3D CAD and mechanical simulation skills.
- Proven track record in leading design projects from concept through to production.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is a plus.
- Passion for sports, innovation, and product performance.
