Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Maintenance Lead to support operations at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing site in the Flanders Region. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong leadership capabilities and a solid background in maintenance within regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities across production and utility systems
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and compliance
Manage and support a team of technicians and contractors on-site
Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards at all times
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize performance
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and reduce downtime
Monitor KPIs and prepare maintenance reports for stakeholders
Support audits, inspections, and documentation requirements
Requirements
Proven experience in a Maintenance Lead or Supervisory role within pharma, biotech, or similar regulated industries
Strong knowledge of API, GMP and EHS standards
Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, or automation systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
