Part-time Magento Product Owner (Technical) – 4 hours/week – Utrecht (NL)

About the Role
We are looking for a technically focused Magento Product Owner to support the maintenance and development of an existing Magento e-commerce store for one of our clients. You will collaborate closely with both the client and development team, acting as the technical bridge between stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone with a Magento development background who has moved into product ownership or technical consulting and is looking for a flexible, low-hours part-time engagement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for both the client and the development team.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog for the Magento e-commerce platform.
- Translate technical issues and improvement opportunities into clear user stories and requirements.
- Coordinate ongoing maintenance, bug fixes, updates, and small enhancements.
- Monitor overall technical quality, performance, and stability of the Magento store.
- Align with stakeholders on priorities and progress (remote + occasional site visits in Utrecht).
Requirements
- Strong experience with Magento – preferably from a developer or technical consultant background.
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, technical project manager, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce workflows, extensions, deployments, and Magento’s technical architecture.
- Fluent Dutch speaker and comfortable in a client-facing position.
- Able to work independently and maintain structure within a limited number of weekly hours.
- Willing to visit the client on-site in Utrecht occasionally.
