We are hiring a Machine Safety Inspector with deep expertise in machine risk assessment, EU machinery compliance, and safety standards. This role supports key manufacturing operations by ensuring machinery safety through inspections, documentation, and application of engineering best practices.
Your Role
As a Machine Safety Inspector, you will perform safety assessments on a wide range of industrial machinery including palletisers, fillers, conveyors, compressors, and generators. You will assess compliance with EU Machinery Directive, OSHA, and relevant EN standards. Your input will directly support audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and safe machine operation across multiple production areas.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct machine risk assessments using EN 12100, EN 60204, and other relevant standards
Evaluate and verify safety-related control systems and functional safety aspects
Perform inspections on machine design, electrical safety, and mechanical safeguards
Identify hazards and document findings in line with EU Machinery Directive and OSHA regulations
Ensure application of sound engineering practices during inspections
Support safety validation during machinery commissioning or modification
Prepare clear, audit-ready technical reports and safety documentation
Collaborate with internal engineering, maintenance, and HSE teams
Advise on improvements to ensure machine compliance and operator safety
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of machinery design, inspection, or maintenance in industrial settings
Experience with packaging or production equipment such as palletisers, fillers, conveyors, compressors, etc.
In-depth knowledge of EN 12100, EN 60204, and other machinery safety standards
Familiarity with EU Machinery Directive, OSHA, and electrical safety regulations
Proven ability to identify mechanical and electrical hazards and recommend mitigation
Previous experience working with Notified Bodies is highly preferred
Analytical and methodical, with excellent attention to detail and safety mindset
