We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to strengthen the security operations within a construction environment. The role requires a very proactive mindset, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to operate in a dynamic and sometimes chaotic environment.
From day one, the focus will be on proactive monitoring, risk awareness, and securing the network infrastructure.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor security threats, risks, and vulnerabilities
- Work with and upgrade firewalls and security devices
- Manage and configure Cisco Meraki devices
- Perform patching of network and security devices
- Ensure hardware and firewalls are kept up to date
- Actively identify risks and propose improvements
- Provide security-related training and guidance to internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in a security or network-related role
- CCNA certification – mandatory
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki devices
- Experience upgrading and working with firewalls
- Strong focus on proactive monitoring, threats, and risks
- Comfortable with patching and hardware lifecycle management
- Very proactive personality, able to take ownership
- Able to work in an environment with change and complexity
