About the Client:
Our client is a huge global client operating their main R&D facility in Brussels.
Role Overview:
Join the team of 4 IT Support Technicians working in the R&D facility, using a problem-solving and logic approach to offer a range of IT Support across hardware, software and networking, as well as performing Windows administration tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the R&D facility of a huge global client in Brussels, and a team of 4 IT Support Technicians to offer a range of IT support.
- Being an R&D facility, there is a lot of customised software which you will need to package and distribute with SCCM.
- Manually build, set up and upgrade desktops, workstations and laptops (windows 10 – windows 11)
- Provide support to whatever is needed (cable replacements, email problems etc..) and have a problem solving, logical mindset to deal with the problems in an efficient and timely manner, including support and troubleshooting plotters.
- Serve as the 1st point of contact for IT-related issues to the R&D team. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network problems.
- Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques.
- Manage user accounts, permission and security setting in Active Directory.
- Develop and maintain Windows scripts for automation and system optimisation.
- Support VDI environments, ensuring seamless access and performance.
- Utilise ServiceNow for incident tracking, service requests and workflow automation.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of issues, solutions and procedures.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles and user guides.
- Manage good customer relationships (challenge requirements, offer alternative solutions, deliver solutions rather than problems.
- Take ownership of small projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Apply lean management principles to optimise IT processes or spaces, manage IT assets, including procurement, tracking and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrate autonomy in problem-solving and decision making.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in IT Support positions.
- Experienced with Microsoft & VDI environments, as well as Windows Scripting.
- Experienced with SCCM, packaging software and Active Directory.
- Experienced with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.
- English speaking.
