About the Client:
Our client is a leading insurance organisation based in Brussels, operating in a complex corporate and group environment. They are seeking an experienced freelance IT Project & Operations Manager to support strategic and operational IT initiatives on a long-term basis. This is a hybrid role with 50% remote working.
Role Overview:
The IT Project & Operations Manager will be responsible for defining, leading, and delivering IT projects across corporate and group-level initiatives. The role combines project leadership with operational oversight, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT delivery while maintaining control over scope, quality, budget, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define project objectives and scope in collaboration with business owners and stakeholders, leading initiatives through all project phases
• Develop and manage projects and programs at corporate and group level
• Coordinate contracting processes with Legal and Procurement, both internally and with external partners
• Plan, schedule, and monitor project activities to ensure effective execution
• Manage scope, quality, budget, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
Candidate Requirements:
• Strong experience as an IT Project Manager, with exposure to operational and run activities
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions
• Proven experience working in greenfield environments, building new concepts and operating models from scratch
• Broad interest and versatility across Business and IT domains, with the flexibility to take on varied responsibilities
• Fluent in English
