Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Specialist with a strong background in healthcare IT environments and virtualization technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing and supporting critical healthcare systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security measures for healthcare IT systems.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data protection standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Secure and manage systems including:
  • KIS (Hospital Information System)
  • RIS (Radiology Information System)
  • PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
  • HL7 messaging standards
  • TI (Telematics Infrastructure)
• Configure and implement DICOM routing for PACS systems.
• Integrate and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces.
• Manage cryptographic key exchanges and secure communication protocols.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of VMware-based environments.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in healthcare IT security.
• Hands-on expertise with PACS systems, DICOM routing, and HL7 integration.
• Familiarity with TI environments and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Strong knowledge of VMware virtualization platforms.
• Solid understanding of network security, encryption, and secure data exchange.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR).

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
• Experience with secure architecture design for healthcare systems.
• Knowledge of scripting or automation for security tasks.
