Freelance IT Infrastructure Project Manager – Brussels (Belgium) – 6 Months+

For a leading Insurance client based in Brussels, I am looking for a Freelance IT Infrastructure Project Manager for a long-term contract.

This opportunity offers 2 days remote working per week.

The main responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, network, and system engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure adherence to timelines, and manage any risks or issues that arise.
  • Ensure the project aligns with both business goals and technical requirements, meeting the client’s specifications.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update project documentation, including timelines, deliverables, and resource planning.
  • Assist in defining and implementing best practices for IT infrastructure within the organization.
  • Lead meetings and communicate project status, risks, and challenges effectively.

Skills required:

  • 4+ years of experience in managing IT infrastructure projects, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, network architecture, and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in communication and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
