About the Client:
Our customer is a leading European manufacturer with a strong focus on quality and innovation. The company operates across multiple European sites and maintains strict internal governance and compliance frameworks to meet GDPR and other regulatory requirements.

Role Overview:
The IT Compliance Analyst will join a small compliance team to support ongoing IT governance and regulatory initiatives across Europe. You will take over from an internal colleague, ensuring continuity in IT audit readiness, GDPR compliance, and internal control monitoring. The position sits between the IT, Security, and Legal teams, requiring both technical understanding and strong regulatory awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day GDPR operations, including monitoring compliance inboxes and handling data-related requests.
• Review and validate new or updated business processes to ensure GDPR alignment.
• Monitor and maintain IT General Controls (ITGC) across applications and infrastructure.
• Conduct monthly control reviews and follow up with technical teams on remediation actions.
• Manage controls related to access management, license compliance, backups, patching, and operational security.
• Execute internal audits to verify control effectiveness and maintain audit readiness.
• Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with IT Security and technical teams.
• Maintain clear documentation, audit evidence, and recurring compliance reports.

Candidate Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as an IT Compliance Analyst, IT Auditor, or IT Risk professional.
• Strong understanding of GDPR and operational data compliance processes.
• Experience managing IT General Controls across software, infrastructure, and operations.
• Familiarity with COBIT or similar IT governance frameworks is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the EU AI Act is appreciated.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English.

Contract Details
Location: West Flanders (2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12 months (extension possible)
Rate: Competitive daily rate (freelance)
