Job Title: Interim Senior Planning Policy Officer
Location: Kent
Rate: £40-£50 per hour (DOE), Inside IR35
Contract Length: 3-6 months (likely extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Hybrid / Remote working considered
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on specific areas of the Local Plan review and evidence base preparation
- Draft, review and consult on planning policy documents, including SPDs and topic papers
- Contribute to strategic planning work, including Duty to Cooperate discussions and regional collaborations
- Analyse consultation responses and prepare reports for senior officers and elected members
- Represent the authority at meetings, public consultations, and examinations as required
- Work closely with colleagues across planning, housing, infrastructure, and environmental services.
