Project Lead
We are seeking an experienced Project Lead with a background in the maritime, naval, or yacht building industry to coordinate and steer the technical execution of vessel projects. The role focuses on overseeing mechanical scopes, aligning engineering with specifications, supporting procurement and production, and ensuring the project progresses efficiently from design through build. Practical engineering experience and strong cross-department coordination skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the mechanical scope of the project, ensuring alignment with specifications, class rules, and technical requirements.
- Review and verify supplier quotations and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and returning them to purchasing when adjustments are needed.
- Guide and support draftsmen and work preparators in the development of drawings, technical documentation, and build preparation.
- Coordinate planning and communication between engineering, purchasing, production, interior teams, and external suppliers to support smooth project execution.
- Monitor technical progress, planning, and budget considerations, ensuring solutions remain practical and buildable.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years experience in the maritime, naval, or yacht building industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, shipbuilding processes, and technical specifications.
- Fluency in Dutch and English
