Overview
We are looking for an experienced Interim Head of Quality to support a leading food production business in East Flanders. This role requires a senior quality professional who remains highly operational, capable of leading quality strategy while being actively involved on-site across multiple facilities.
The successful candidate will oversee quality operations, within a meat production environment and ensure compliance with key food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Quality function across three production locations
Ensure compliance with IFS and BRC standards and maintain audit readiness
Act as the key point of contact for quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance
Provide hands-on operational support to site quality teams
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality processes and systems
Collaborate closely with production, operations, and HR teams to strengthen quality culture
Support and prepare sites for external audits and customer requirements
Requirements
Senior Quality professional with strong operational capability
Proven experience in the meat / protein processing industry
Strong expertise in IFS and BRC standards
Experience managing multi-site quality operations
Fluent in Dutch and English
French is a plus
Spanish or Portuguese is an advantage
