An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Estates Surveyor to join a local authority in Yorkshire on a 12-month contract. The position offers flexibility with remote working, with occasional on-site visits required. Key duties include:
Overseeing the management of the council’s property portfolio.
Managing lease renewals, ensuring competitive terms that align with market trends.
Conducting rent reviews to optimise income from the council’s assets.
Handling property disposals, including valuations, marketing, and negotiations.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public sector estates management, strong negotiation abilities, and the capability to work autonomously. A RICS qualification is advantageous but not essential.
